An Angels' Funeral I by ~Rosetta-Lurch:iconRosetta-Lurch:

"An Angel's Funeral I"

The crack of dawn, a heavenly golden light embraces the waking earth.
Mourning has broken.
The eye of God, the seat of the Angel's divine light tears throught the soft, thick clouds.
The graveyard, the doorstep leading to the pearly gates themselves.
The priest, the ferryman, blessing the final resting place of one ecxeptional woman.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
The little girl lowers a rose onto the modest wooden casket.
Pure, birght and fresh wood, a simple box, but a fitting one.
The casket descends slowly, gently, resting peacefully in the earth the woman loved so much.
There her body will lay forever more in the embrace of her immortal mother, warm, safe and always remembered.
The golden ribbons of light caress the coffin, reaching for the soul inside, to carry her home, to her starstruck throne in the ever watchful nigt.
The heavens open, the rain falls, soft and warm, shining glittering and beaming like crystals falling from the sun.
The Angels are crying, tears of joy.
She's coming home.
Requiem and reunion.
The little girl sheds a tear, so small, so beautiful, so pure, it outshines the tears of the Angels as it falls onto the silky petals of the rose.
Here the little girl bids farewell to an Angel.
Her Guardian Angel, her Mother, her Sister, her Grandmother, her Aunt.
She came to protect, to love and to cherish the little girl, the orphan.
She dies now knowing that the little girl is safe from harm, her role here is done, and now she leaves in peaceful silence to watch from above as her only loved one, her Daughter, her Sister, her Grandaughter, her Niece moves on to give to the world what was given to her.
The Love of an Angel.
Here the little girl buries a secret, her secret.
Secrets never die, secrets live forever in the minds and hearts of those it has touched.
The priest falls silent and looks to the sky.
The sky falls still and the rain ceases to flow.
The little girl raises her head, a smile on her face, lit up gloriously by the most magnificent ray of the sun.
The new ray.
Her ray.

This is the sweet one, the happy one, I hope it makes you feel happy, it certainly made me feel happy and warm when I wrote it, no matter how morbid it actually is!
